Everywhere you look, it's healing The forest is green and you can see pretty flowers in the yard garden They set aside a space next to the kitchen, and it's probably used as an actual house, so it's a multipurpose room Thanks to the host's sense of leaving out the washing machine, dryer, and refrigerator, you can hear only the sounds of birds without any mechanical noise There is a garden that's prettier than a cafe, and even if you just stay in the accommodation, your mind will be purified and healed It's close to Seogwipo and Namwon, so you can take a walk every morning on Olle Course 4 and Olle Course 5 within 7 to 10 minutes by car There is Mulyeongari Oreum and Meochewat Forest Trail, so you can go there if you want to exercise a little more. It is close to the road, so it takes 15 minutes by car to get to Saryeoni Forest Road, Red Oreum Natural Recreation Forest, and Samda Forest Road. I was worried that I would have to leave the main road because it is a mid-mountain village, but It is at the beginning of the village, so you can come even late at night. They made a dementia-safe path that you can walk around the village, so I took a 30-minute walk in the morning while looking at hydrangeas. Overall, it is a place with many tangerine fields, and it is quiet and private, so I recommend it as a place where you can fully experience Jeju Island. I was so satisfied that I wanted to spend all four seasons here.

A private space of my own, surrounded by crystal-clear air. I've always stayed near the ocean in Jeju Island, but this time, I wanted to stay somewhere quiet, away from the touristy areas. After months of searching, I finally found this place and booked it. The moment I saw the private garden and the house through the cute little entrance, I knew I made the right choice. The view from the well-maintained garden, with its expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, was the epitome of peace and relaxation. At night, the stars were abundant, and the only noise was the wind. I felt the peace of being in my own space. I definitely want to stay here again.

It's a really pretty accommodation. It's located in a quiet neighborhood, but it's convenient because there's a large mart, the ocean, and good restaurants within a short drive. We were preparing to live in Jeju for a month with our 14-month-old son in August when we found this beautiful house in Sumang-ri. My husband and I like mountains more than the ocean, enjoy walking along green forest paths, prefer quiet places to crowded places, and dream of building a house with a yard someday. This house was the perfect choice for us. When we were looking for a place to stay, we actually liked it just by looking at the photos, but we hesitated a little because there were no reviews from people who had used it. Then we found out that the owner had lived in the house until a few months ago, and since it had only been open for a stay, we were the second guests. That's probably why there were no reviews. I'm leaving a review in hopes that it will be helpful to those who are considering this house. Pros) 1. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful yard, spacious house : Sumang-ri, where this house is located, is a village located in the mid-mountainous area south of Seogwipo. It's not completely deep in the mountains, and it's not completely close to the downtown area. You can get anywhere in Jeju Island by car in 30 minutes to 1 hour. It's not like it's completely close anywhere, but it's also good that you can go anywhere. We had a baby, so it was hard to go out every day. The baby was a little sick, so we had to stay home for a few days, but thanks to the moderately sized yard between the main building and the workshop building, we didn't feel stuffy. We played around the yard looking at the grass, flowers, trees, snails, butterflies, etc., and on some days we set up a small tent and looked at the stars, and we filled the baby pool with water and played in the water. It felt like we weren't home even though we were at home. 2. The house where the owner lived, so the interior was well-equipped: We had to make baby food every meal, so we ate at home more often than eating out. So when we came down from Seoul, we really packed a lot of things. Even a baby pot, pan, and blender... But when we got here, we didn't need any of it. There were plenty of kitchen utensils, a blender, a coffee machine, a toaster, and basic seasonings, dishes, detergent, and other basic household items. If I had asked in advance, I think I could have reduced my luggage by half. The large living room, kitchen, master bedroom, and small room are spacious. There is also one room that guests cannot use and a 2nd floor attic, so the house itself was much larger than I thought. When my parents came, they used the small room and left comfortably. I really miss the high ceilings that I used to see while lying down in the living room. After returning to a small apartment in Seoul... ㅠ 3. Hygiene situation : There is a yard, so there are bees, insects, and bugs in the yard. We were even in the middle of summer in August! There must have been more :) However, inside the house, there were only occasional flies and mosquitoes. We didn't see any martens, which are often found in Jeju Island houses, in the house. The owner paid a lot of attention to quarantine. 4. Convenience facilities such as hospitals, marts, and coffee shops : We went to the pediatrician several times because our baby was sick, and there were many pediatricians in Seogwipo City. If you press the 8:30 key and leave, you will arrive in 30-35 minutes and see the doctor right away, and while you are out, you can go sightseeing and go to the mart. There is no pediatric clinic near the house. 5. Management fee The management fee is settled separately after you check out, but I used the air conditioner, dryer, and washing machine all month, and it came to about 170,000 won in total. I think it varies depending on the season. Things to consider) 1. Since it is a quiet rural village, the surroundings get very dark after the sun sets and it becomes evening. There are quite a few pensions and houses around, but they are all far apart, so the surroundings are dark and deserted. It was okay for us in the summer, but it seems a bit difficult to walk around the area on evenings in the fall and winter. 2. The garbage separation and disposal site is near the village hall, but it is a walkable distance, but it is difficult to carry the garbage. We usually went to throw away the garbage by car once every few days. 3. There are a few dogs and cats wandering around, although not many. I don't know if it's because they let them all out or if they're wild dogs, but they came into the yard twice while we were there. We had a baby, so I think it was a little scary. I told the owner and he said he'd block the passage, so I think it'll be okay from now on. My family had a happy month in Jeju Island. 80% of that happiness was thanks to the accommodation. I'm really grateful.

I've been to many accommodations and seen many pretty and fancy houses, but there was no place as comfortable as this one. It's not a photogenic accommodation, but the warmth of a house where the owner lived for 10 years. Furniture made to fit the house and cozy bedding. A beautiful garden that feels affectionate and a fire pit in a cute stone fireplace. Especially, it was surrounded by tangerine fields on all sides, so it was private and pretty, and I was so happy to spend time resting in the yard. While living in Jeju for 3 months, I stayed in 3 places for a month each, and at first, all the accommodations were good, but as time passed, I got tired of them or saw some inconveniences. This place was the first place I wanted to continue living. The host was so genuine and kind, so he gave me a lot of tangerines and barbecued for me, and even the naughty kids loved it, so I was so grateful. I didn't have high expectations for the pottery experience that was available as a service, but it was such a healing time. Even now, when I think back on the time I spent immersing myself in crafts while drinking warm tea in a well-lit workshop, it felt like magic. I highly recommend you try it!

I had a very comfortable week and left. The house was very well-maintained and the yard was so pretty that it was a happy and special time. There is a campfire-like stove in the yard, and the host prepared a welcome fire on the first day of my visit, so I made a fire. When you pass the house and the yard, there is a pottery workshop, and if you apply for the pottery experience, you can make your own pottery. It is a place that feels like you are resting in a quiet country house rather than feeling like you are visiting somewhere. The ocean is just a short drive away. Seogwipo city is not far away, which was nice, and above all, the host was so kind that it felt like I was visiting someone I know. I have been to Jeju more than five or six times so far, and I stayed in another accommodation for a month in August, but this accommodation was the best of all the accommodations I have stayed in Jeju. I plan to visit again when I have another Jeju schedule. There is a hand-cut noodle restaurant nearby, which is cheap and delicious.
