3rd floor of Dalmar House, an open ocean view in American Village

We arrived around 5 PM. Since it was summer and still bright, we had no trouble moving our luggage from the parking lot to the accommodation. As you can see, the parking lot is very spacious, and there's a basketball court in front of the accommodation where the host family on the second floor was playing basketball with their kids. We cooked almost all our dinners using the cooking utensils in the kitchen, and there was plenty for our family of four. There was even a whisk, so we made pancakes for the kids, and on the last day we made kimchi pancakes with leftover kimchi! The only regret was not bringing a portable burner since it takes time to make halite—we had to wait because the frying pan was large and we couldn't cook two dishes simultaneously. The laundry room is on the first floor with 2 washing machines and 1 dryer, which was convenient after water activities. The accommodation gets great sunlight, so even if we just hung clothes on the drying rack in the morning, they dried well in the sun and got sanitized! You can dispose of recycling and food waste right as you leave the accommodation. Most places are within a 20-minute drive, so we moved around conveniently. German Village, Bori-am, Jukbang-ryeom, Seolri Beach, Sangju Silver Sand, Skywalk, and more 🙂 Above all, it's a view restaurant. Even on cloudy days due to typhoon warnings, the morning views and bird songs were wonderful every day. Kids reading books on the large sofa, playing board games together in the evening. The air conditioning was powerful and kept us cool. Hot water ran well, so we could shower comfortably every day. We didn't see any mosquitoes that we were worried about from the reviews. There were a few ants, but they didn't keep appearing. We'll come again next time~^^

First of all, the view is absolutely beautiful. You can see the stunning Namhae Sea on cloudy days, clear days, rainy days, and windy days. The bedding is fresh and smells like sunshine, and the accommodation is clean with a spacious living room. During the day it was 28-29 degrees hot, but when I entered the accommodation, a cool breeze blew in and there was no need to turn on the air conditioner. Though it would probably be necessary during the peak of summer. The air conditioner was recently installed, I heard. The laundry room is on the first floor, and I made good use of it including the dryer. It was convenient as basic dishes, an electric rice cooker, and an electric kettle were all well-equipped. The accommodation is located in the middle of Namhae Island and is quiet, making it great for relaxation. No matter where you go on Namhae, you can get there within 25 minutes, which is great. If I visit Namhae again, this is definitely a place I want to stay at again. ❤️❤️

It was the best accommodation for a week-long stay in Namhae! Just the panoramic ocean view visible through the full-length windows makes it worth visiting. The spacious and comfortable living room was great for relaxing comfortably with my child, and the yard in front of the accommodation and the surrounding environment were quiet and nature-friendly, so I got a good rest. During my long stay, I was able to fully embrace Namhae's sea without any sense of confinement. I'm leaving with wonderful memories with my family. I highly recommend it as accommodation for a long-term trip to Namhae!

The accommodation was clean and the bedding was fluffy and comfortable. The host is so kind~ (lives on the 1st floor) They even gave us 3 sweet pumpkins~ to steam and eat~ The front view from the living room is absolutely fantastic. And the side is all forest From the room it's all forest Even the bathroom is all forest Staying at this accommodation is so healing. Within about 20 kilometers (20 minutes)~ You can visit various beaches and Darangyi Village and Boriamsa Temple. I want to come back in spring and autumn~^^

First impression: Wow~~ I felt deceived by photos of a house in Jeju before, and this place is the same ♡ Pros: *The view was really great, nothing blocking it, and it's not a boring landscape either. The whole village is developed as an American-style tourist area, so all the street lights turn on at night. *There's a convenience store at the village entrance and a bus stop too (I drove, but no parking worries. The whole village has convenient parking). *Just a short walk up, there's a temple - perfect for a walk and exercise (steep slope). The temples in Namhae seem to have amazing ocean and natural scenery. *Hot water comes out really well. Heating works well. Not sure about the AC since I didn't use it. *The host is very kind. Pros and cons: Floors 1 and 2 are empty, so it's a bit scary at night. Stayed mid to late May, and the whole village doesn't have many lights on compared to the accommodation. Cons: It feels very old, but I thought it was being maintained. Old appliances and furniture are unavoidable, I guess. Confusing to use the microwave. Unfortunate that the hood and master bedroom AC weren't fixed before check-in. ·There's foundation on the blanket... not sure if it wasn't washed or not removed ㅠㅠ ·First place without basic shower supplies. Even made my own trash can. ·3rd floor has a great view, but without an elevator, moving luggage for a long stay is difficult. All in all, it was okay. But ㅠㅠ fatal downside..... every night it's like a cockroach war... maybe that's an exaggeration, but... rustling, creaking, crunching sounds... ㅠㅠ ugh~~~~ chills... when I made eye contact with a big cockroach twice in the kitchen drawer, I stopped cooking after that.. Since it's rural, I accept other bugs, but surprisingly there were almost none of those... why... why cockroaches ㅠㅠ The view is really good ㅠㅠ

It's exactly like the picture. I had the luxury of watching the sunrise from home every morning. I spent the first four days of my week there with my family, and the remaining three days I walked alone. The bus stops right in front of the accommodation, so if you time it right, you can go anywhere in Namhae. On my last day, the host graciously adjusted my checkout to coincide with the bus schedule, so I was able to enjoy the ocean view from my warm home. Thanks to this, I'm leaving Namhae with lots of good memories. Having finally finished 2025 in Namhae, I feel I can start 2026 with a renewed spirit. I'm grateful to Namhae, Dalmar House, and my generous host for spending the last days of 2025 with me.

I was debating where to stay for a week with my kids. Since it was peak season, we decided to find a place to stay. We chose Dalmar House in Namhae, a place we'd never been before. After deciding on a place to stay, we finally arrived home today after a long drive. As other reviews have mentioned, the top picks are the view and the quiet. Everything was within 20 minutes of each other, which was great for the location. It was also great value for money. We made great memories with the kids.

We stayed for 7 weeks during the holiday season. We spent a quiet time, looking out the window at the seascape like a landscape painting. Although it was a cold winter, we were able to rest quietly in a spacious room that was large enough for 4 people and a floor as warm as a sauna. We were also grateful for the warm consideration given to us by the owner. We also ate a lot of spinach, a specialty of Namhae, as a side dish.

It's quiet and clean. It was great for a week. When I wake up, the morning view is so great and it's great for the kids to play. I live in an apartment with a great view~^^ I want to recommend it. The host gave me food and made me comfortable, so I had a good rest.
