Lighthouse Beach, Yeongrangho 5-minute walk away, cost-effective two-room apartment

Finding a place I liked made my trip to Sokcho even more enjoyable. I wanted to live like a local for two weeks, and thanks to Carrot House, my dreams came true. 1) The location of the place couldn't be better. I walked to Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion for a morning walk to watch the sunrise, and at sunset, I walked along the beach to Jangsa Port or along Yeongrang Lake Trail. All the picturesque scenery is within walking distance. 2) There are many delicious restaurants within walking distance. Bongpo Meoguri House, Sokcho Saengdaegu House, and more will always be on my mind. 3) You can sit in your room and admire the view of Ulsanbawi Rock and the ocean, which change every day depending on the weather. 4) I stayed during a cold snap, but the place was very warm. 5) The house was cozy and clean, showing the host's sense of style and neatness. 6) The host was very helpful in providing guidance on the property and quickly responded to any questions. The blog you linked was also very helpful. This place perfectly embodies the word "cozy." Those who visit Sokcho for a quiet retreat amidst beautiful nature will especially enjoy this place. A view gem! It's a place where you can see the blue East Sea and the majestic Ulsan Rock in front and back. The interior is identical to the photos. It's clean and neatly organized, and it has most of the items needed for daily living except for some disposable items. I especially loved using the Nespresso coffee machine and water purifier. I also felt the host's thoughtful consideration. At first, it was an old apartment building on the 4th floor without an elevator, so it took some adjustment, but I quickly got used to it, and I think it's worth enduring for this level of view. It wasn't difficult as exercise. The transportation was good and parking in the area wasn't difficult either. I was grateful that the host responded warmly and promptly. I think I'll miss it again.

This is a perfect view spot with Ulsan Rock visible in front and the sea behind. You can walk to Deungdae Beach and even to Yeonggeum Jeong, where you can watch the sunrise. During my stay, the weather was beautiful and I was able to see a breathtaking sunrise. Also, being within walking distance of Yeongrang Lake, I was able to take a walk there daily and enjoy it during both morning and evening. Since Sokcho Medical Center is nearby, public transportation is conveniently accessible. I also visited Daemyung Delpino and enjoyed a cafe with views of Ulsan Rock. If you enjoy walking, I recommend this place near Cheongcho Lake where you can explore famous restaurants and cafes in Sokcho on foot.

The front view showed Ulsan Rock and the sea on the other side, so the scenery was beautiful! My cat loved looking out the window! Large items like a washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, TV, and refrigerator were all available, as well as small things like towels, wet wipes, toilet paper, dish cloths, and a coffee maker, so it was very convenient. The Deungdae Beach was also nearby, so it was great for taking walks!

I stayed for about a month and had a great experience thanks to the clean environment and kind host. I especially appreciated the spacious parking area, and the location was excellent with Yeongrangho nearby for walks and close proximity to the intercity bus terminal. I'll definitely use this place again when I visit Sokcho next time 👍😍

I had a wonderful two weeks there from mid-February to early March. It was such a comfortable place to live. It was close to the ocean and Yeongrang Lake, and it was a great place for healing. I feel like I've returned feeling healthier. Also, I had a request regarding my schedule that needed to be addressed immediately, so I appreciate your prompt attention.

Living by the sea for a week was my dream, so I made a reservation and went there. From the moment the door opened, the interior was very clean and the owner was very kind and responded very quickly to every question I asked. If you are thinking about living by the sea, I recommend making a reservation here!!

Before check-in, the host kindly explained the contactless self-check-in process through a detailed text message, so I felt very welcomed. The location was perfect, with restaurants like Squid Nanjeon (Jungang Market) and Sokcho Tourist Market (Jungang Market) just a five-minute drive away, and E-Mart just a ten-minute walk away. Local favorites like Gugujip, Baekil Kalguksu, and Hoin Sushi all within a five-minute walk. It's an older apartment, but they've remodeled it, and when I opened the door, it felt as clean as new. Furthermore, the entire house was fully equipped, allowing me to settle in right away. Even small appliances like a rice cooker, microwave, and *** were all provided. I was lucky to find a place like this during peak season (August 2nd to 8th) at this price. Thanks to the reasonable price and kind host, I had a wonderful stay. It was on the fourth floor without an elevator. But it was an older apartment, so it felt like the third floor of a modern villa. The stairs were shallow, so it wasn't difficult to climb up and down. I'm in my 50s, and it was a breeze. It might be a bit tiring if you have a lot of luggage, but just moving around wasn't difficult at all during my stay. I highly recommend this clean, well-located, and affordable accommodation in Sokcho. Thank you, host, for renting such a wonderful home. ^^
