Lighthouse Beach, Yeongrangho 5-minute walk away, cost-effective two-room apartment

I had a wonderful two weeks there from mid-February to early March. It was such a comfortable place to live. It was close to the ocean and Yeongrang Lake, and it was a great place for healing. I feel like I've returned feeling healthier. Also, I had a request regarding my schedule that needed to be addressed immediately, so I appreciate your prompt attention.

Living by the sea for a week was my dream, so I made a reservation and went there. From the moment the door opened, the interior was very clean and the owner was very kind and responded very quickly to every question I asked. If you are thinking about living by the sea, I recommend making a reservation here!!

Before check-in, the host kindly explained the contactless self-check-in process through a detailed text message, so I felt very welcomed. The location was perfect, with restaurants like Squid Nanjeon (Jungang Market) and Sokcho Tourist Market (Jungang Market) just a five-minute drive away, and E-Mart just a ten-minute walk away. Local favorites like Gugujip, Baekil Kalguksu, and Hoin Sushi all within a five-minute walk. It's an older apartment, but they've remodeled it, and when I opened the door, it felt as clean as new. Furthermore, the entire house was fully equipped, allowing me to settle in right away. Even small appliances like a rice cooker, microwave, and *** were all provided. I was lucky to find a place like this during peak season (August 2nd to 8th) at this price. Thanks to the reasonable price and kind host, I had a wonderful stay. It was on the fourth floor without an elevator. But it was an older apartment, so it felt like the third floor of a modern villa. The stairs were shallow, so it wasn't difficult to climb up and down. I'm in my 50s, and it was a breeze. It might be a bit tiring if you have a lot of luggage, but just moving around wasn't difficult at all during my stay. I highly recommend this clean, well-located, and affordable accommodation in Sokcho. Thank you, host, for renting such a wonderful home. ^^

I stayed very comfortably for about 2 weeks from late April to early May. This year, May had more days off than other years, so there were inconveniences such as many accommodations around Sokcho unilaterally canceling reservations or suddenly demanding outrageous prices, but the host of this accommodation maintained the original reservation price and was very considerate to the guests with quick and kind responses so that there was no inconvenience at all. There was a beach and a lake within a 5-minute walk of the accommodation, so it was nice to take a walk, and there were many restaurants nearby, which made the trip even more enriching. The host also informed me in advance that there was no elevator, so it might be a bit inconvenient to move heavy and large luggage, but the accommodation was well-equipped with daily necessities, so I think it wouldn't be too inconvenient if you moved lightly. The location is perfect. It's close to Yeongrang Lake, making it great for a walk, and the quiet, quiet atmosphere was great. There are so many great restaurants nearby, so I didn't have to worry about meals. I've never stayed in a place with so many great restaurants within walking distance, including Ddamanna Restaurant, Gwiun Boribap, Baekil Kalguksu, Gogung Hall, Yangji Barun Burger, Bongpo Meoguri House, and Jeollado Restaurant. They call it Carrot House because the appliances and furniture are from Carrot, but I didn't have any issues. Climbing the four flights of stairs was a bit uncomfortable, but I think it was because my knees aren't in great shape. A week was too short. I think I'll need at least a month to fully explore Sokcho. I hope Carrot House becomes my base for that. ^^

The contact with the host was quick and friendly, and the apartment was remodeled to be clean and warm. It was nice to have a large table for work in the two-room, and the bedding was cozy. Above all, the view of Seoraksan and Ulsanbawi from the large window in the living room was the best. It was a view that I still think about a lot after returning. The sea was visible behind. I took a walk to the sea every morning, and I was able to reach the sea in less than 10 minutes on foot. I think it is a great place to relax and spend some quiet time alone.

It was an old apartment, but the interior was clean and quiet. I really felt like a local for two weeks. Especially because it was cherry blossom season, I rode a bike and walked around Yeongrangho for a week and saw a lot of beautiful cherry blossoms. The lighthouse beach is close and there are many famous restaurants nearby. I was happy to go on a trip to celebrate my husband's retirement with Carrot House^^

The location was perfect, just a 5-10 minute walk to Deungdae Beach and Yeongrang Lake! The house was clean and well-equipped with everything I needed, making for a very comfortable stay. The host was also very accommodating when I asked about pets, which I appreciated. If I ever return to Sokcho, I'd love to stay here again.
