Two-story detached house with a view of the sunrise in the eastern sky of Seongsan

After retirement, I looked into ferry and accommodations for my month-long stay in Jeju. I booked a round-trip ferry ride on the Gold Stella between Wando and Jeju. Looking for a quieter, more secluded place to stay than the bustling city center, I ended up booking a two-story, detached house with a view of the sunrise over the eastern sky of Seongsan. This pension is located on Iljudong-ro, Onpyeong-ri, near Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. It's close to Onpyeong Port and Honinji, and a bit further from Seongeup Folk Village. While it's a bit far from Seogwipo and Jeju City, for people like us who only live in the city, it was a great place. Every morning, I took a walk to Onpyeong Port and Onpyeong-ri Village, which offered something new every time I visited. The pension owner and his wife were as friendly as family. The pension was clean, with dishes and other necessities provided. The barbecue party on the lawn, and the Americano and toast we enjoyed every morning at the barbecue table, were truly delightful. The tangerine orchard, grown by the hosts, was a new experience. The tangerines were especially sweet and tart when I picked them and ate them right away. Upon returning from my month-long stay, I was so grateful that they gave me a generous portion of freshly picked tangerines at a discount. This pension was a perfect fit for my one-month stay in Jeju. While the pension is a bit old and looks a bit dated, the interior is clean and well-equipped with bedding and tableware. The surrounding fields and a farming cooperative provide a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. However, it's a bit far from the city center, airport, and tourist attractions. The nearest convenience store is about 500 meters away in front of Onpyeong Elementary School. These inconveniences are somewhat overlooked by Onpyeong-ri Village. The morning walk and the scenery around Onpyeong Port are a bonus. If I ever return to Jeju, I'd love to stay here again. I decided to spend my first month in Jeju Island and carefully considered where to stay. As a result, I am very satisfied. The host was not only kind, but also meticulously prepared all the necessary items during my stay with the heart of a housewife, and said in advance that he would provide bedding whenever there were visitors, so my relatives were able to enjoy themselves without any burden. The exterior of the house is pretty, but the second floor is wider than the first floor, so everyone who visited liked it and rested comfortably. The surrounding area is quiet, so I can hear the beautiful sounds of birds every morning, and pheasants living nearby often cry. Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, Seopjikoji, and the coast are close, so I can often see Jeju's sea and nature. It is located in the southeast of Jeju, so it is great for going to Udo Island, and I have driven the coastal road in Hamdeok, Gimnyeong, Woljeong-ri, and Sehwa several times, but I am always amazed by the beauty of Jeju. Seogwipo Jungmun is also easily accessible. When picking up at the airport, if you turn toward Aewol Hyeopje, you can see all the coastal roads in Jeju Island. I had such a great time in Jeju that I didn't even realize how quickly a month had passed. This is a great place to stay for those planning to live in Jeju. I really enjoyed it. (You can dig clams at Gwangchigi Beach.) I would like to express my gratitude to the kind host who took great care to make sure there were no inconveniences.

Jeju one month living chosen for the kids... The first priority was the yard The kids can run around and play freely... In that sense, it was good to have a yard, but I was a little worried because it was on the roadside. However, it was a quiet neighborhood, so it wasn't as dangerous as I thought. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that even though there was a parking space, if the house next door parked in the yard, we couldn't play in the yard, so I thought it would be good to have a separate parking space. Nevertheless, it was a really good accommodation for the price. The utility bills seem to be quite cheap compared to other accommodations, and I could feel that the owner put a lot of care into each and every piece of furniture and items in the house. I used everything well without any inconvenience^^
