Living in Pohang, a great place for healing with a sea view jacuzzi

As others have mentioned, it's over 90% identical to the photos. You can tell the host put a lot of thought into it. The interior is beautiful, the view is lovely, and the quiet surroundings were perfect for a relaxing getaway. The bed was so comfortable that I fell asleep. The proximity to Gyurongpo made it even better. Gwamegi, sunrise, Japanese House Street, Dongbaek's Cafe (Camellia), etc. Have a nice day. 👍👍

There weren't many reviews, so I searched ***************** and read the reviews and made a reservation because they were good. It's almost 90% the same as the photos and as soon as I entered, I was amazed by the ocean view through the glass windows.. All the walls were made of wood? and the house smelled like a forest. The neighborhood was very quiet, so it was great for us to hang out together and when I opened all the windows and doors, the ocean breeze and mountain breeze came in so it was cool and nice. I could hear the sound of the waves well, so it felt like I was on vacation I really enjoyed it ‘-’ It was great for watching movies on the beamer in the Jacuzzi area and the Wi-Fi is also really strong. It starts from the stairs!!! The bed was so soft that I felt like I was buried in it. I slept really well the whole time. Emotional props everywhere, pretty interior, the owner communicates quickly ^^

I hope other guests can enjoy their trip without any inconveniences like I did. (I visited in March, filled half of the reservation period and received a refund for the remaining 3 days and checked out) ------‐---------------------------------------------------------- <✅️Good points> • The ocean view from the living room is pretty • The ocean view from the jacuzzi is pretty (Make sure to use the jacuzzi when the sun is up~, when it gets dark, you can't see outside, so you can't enjoy the view when you take a half-body bath) • The bed is comfortable • The props are nicely furnished • The bedding is clean (no hair) • The room smells good • The washing machine and dryer are good • The Marshall speaker is useful (It's heaven if you put on jazz and look at the ocean) --------‐--------------------------------------------- <✅️Items to bring, not provided> • Toilet paper • Towels • Laundry detergent • Pay-as-you-go bags (You can buy them at a nearby mart, but I heard that locals just throw them in the bags..) • Tablet, laptop (If the beam projector doesn't work, you can use the TV There is no play...) • Short-sleeved shirts (Even in winter, it is hot during the day because the sun shines in through the large windows) ------‐---------------------------------------------- <✅️ Things to note> 1. Additional costs may apply for oil boilers - Lack of advance notice: There was no notice of additional costs before reservation. - Unclear usage standards: No clear standards for measuring oil usage were provided. 2. Poor cleaning conditions - Found two unused artificial tear caps (on the dressing table, stuck in a white knitted cover). - There were dried food stains on the table in front of the sofa, which were easily wiped off with a wet tissue - There were dried food stains all over the living room floor, which were easily wiped off with a wet tissue (I wondered if they didn't mop it) - Dirty glass on the large windows (outside). When I took a picture, it looked like grime. 3. Nighttime noise problem - Even when lying in bed, the living room creaks (similar to the sound of walking on a wooden floor even when no one is there). - It is unclear whether it is due to the aging of the building or the sea breeze, but it acts as a sleep-disturbing factor. 4. Poor ventilation - There are only two small windows, so indoor air circulation is not smooth. - You have to open the door connected to the hallway to ventilate a little. 5. Indoor temperature rise during the day & no air conditioning - Visited in March. Due to the large windows, the indoor temperature rises rapidly in the morning and during the day even when it is still cold. - Even if you close the curtains and open the windows, the indoor air does not cool down easily. - It is inconvenient because the cooling function cannot be used even when the room is hot during the day. (When I asked because there is no air conditioner remote control, they said it is not used in winter.) - It is necessary to indicate on the reservation page that the air conditioner cannot be used in winter. 6. Unstable Wi-Fi connection - It is okay during the day, but the signal becomes weaker at night, making it inconvenient to use the Internet. - Especially in the evening, the Wi-Fi connection in the bedroom is often disconnected. ------‐------------------------------------------------------------- <🔥My experience, thoughts> 📅 Thursday, the 13th - First day of check-in • The 4th floor stairs are more burdensome than I thought. It takes a lot of energy to carry a week's worth of luggage up and down several times • I booked for a week alone (I booked for 3 people because I planned to visit my family in the middle). It's a remote place near the beach, so it's dark at night and scary. It's hard to get a good night's sleep because the wood keeps creaking at night. • Problem with the beam projector adapter The beam projector is only for 110V, but there is no conversion adapter (for 220V). I asked the host and he said he would arrive two days later (the 15th). 📅 Sunday, the 16th - 4 days after check-in, I requested a refund and checked out. • Unresolved beam projector adapter problem It didn't arrive even after the promised delivery date (the 15th). On the morning of the 16th, I contacted the host again and the delivery company replied that it was scheduled to ship on the 17th (Monday). It was scheduled to arrive after the check-out date (the 19th). (This means that it is not available.) The guest's check-out schedule and delivery schedule were not taken into consideration. If they had considered it, it would have been better if they had informed me in advance at least by Saturday (the 15th). If they had, I could have found a way to resolve it myself at a nearby mart without wasting time waiting. It is regrettable that they did not consider the inconvenience that could occur to guests due to the service not being provided. • Oil boiler oil exhaustion problem In the morning, the boiler was turned off, so I checked and all the oil was exhausted. In the process of checking the oil exhaustion in the boiler room over the phone with the host, I found that the oil gauge record only existed up to the 'check-in date in February' and there was no record of my check-in (March). I confirmed that the usage standard was unclear. In my case, the boiler was only turned on in the evening and I scheduled it to turn off in the morning and used it. It was hot during the day, so I turned it off. I don't understand why the oil ran out after only 3 days of use. Lack of explanation for the oil running out faster than expected. • Host's attitude and Starbucks coupon suggestion While discussing the above issues, the host suddenly offered to provide Starbucks coffee coupons. When I was dumbfounded and asked **"Why are you suddenly talking about coupons?"**, I received **"Please understand that this has already happened and there is nothing we can do about it"**. In the middle of a long conversation, the sudden suggestion of a Starbucks coupon had nothing to do with solving the problem and seemed like an attitude of simply trying to cut off the conversation. What the guest wants is a solution to the problem, not a coupon compensation. However, the host's attitude was "This has already happened, so please understand" rather than providing guidance on "how to get an adapter." This kind of response was the reason I requested a refund, and the lack of effort to solve the problem was the most regrettable. ------‐--------------------------------------------- <🙏Overall> Guests book accommodations with their own purposes. I chose this accommodation expecting to relax while looking at the ocean, and watch a movie in the jacuzzi. However, if even these basic experiences are not provided properly, how can guests trust and book the accommodation? I think that what is stated as being provided as basics should be provided without mistakes, and that responsibility for this is necessary. Even if a mistake is made, an attitude to resolve it is necessary.

I like the host. When I first arrived, I was a little worried because he was overseas, but I could immediately see why the house was clean after I saw the aftercare. I think the house was clean and thoughtful, and it was a reflection of the host's personality who was very clean and considerate. I would 1000% go there again next time.
