Dunae 500-high land newly built 2nd floor B-dong Jeonwon house

The accommodations are fully furnished with all the basic necessities for a comfortable stay, but... We brought all our bedding and cooking utensils to stay for six weeks in the winter, and we felt comfortable and at home. Because it's a new two-year-old building, it's clean, and the terrace in front of the entrance was very useful for us with a lot of luggage. The laundry room is also warm, so our laundry dries quickly. The house faces south, so it's warm and free of drafts. The duplex has a door on the second floor, so even without heating, it prevents cold air from seeping down to the lower floors, which was nice. In fact, too high a temperature can be drying, so we set the temperature to 23.5 degrees Celsius and wore indoor shoes, which was just right. The duplex would be useful for families with large families or children. The view from the mountaintop beyond the rural housing complex, about a 30-minute hike behind the house, is so beautiful that we hiked there almost every day. I think staying in spring or fall would allow you to enjoy the beautiful nature even more. The stars at night... especially the Big Dipper, it's been a long time since I've seen them so clearly. During my stay, whenever it snowed, I'd go to Taegisan Wind Farm to see the snow flowers... but they've done such a good job of clearing the roads that sledding is no longer allowed, which was a shame. ㅎ The trail around Hoengseong Lake was also nice. There are two roads from downtown Dunnae to my accommodation... The road to the country house complex behind Dunnae Apartments is currently under construction... I think the access will be much better once it's completed. The owner was so attentive during my stay... Thank you.^^

Dunnae in Gangwon Province was a place I chose with both anticipation and hesitation since it was my first time visiting. Upon arrival, the neighborhood was very quiet and clean, and with a rural residential complex nearby, it wasn't too remote and was a great place to stay. The interior was neat, and for a 3-week stay, there were no inconveniences. The kitchen was well-equipped with all necessary items, so I had no regrets. The bedding was clean, heating and hot water worked well, and there was a bathroom on the second floor, making it comfortable for the family. Behind the house, there were well-prepared facilities for barbecuing, so we could enjoy it conveniently by just bringing charcoal. Just a short drive down, there are convenient facilities like agricultural cooperatives, Hanaro Mart, convenience stores, and coffee shops, making it very convenient. The host provided kind and helpful guidance, so I stayed comfortably without any regrets. In a place where the warm spring sunshine and cool spring breeze blew, I spent 3 weeks healing and had a wonderful time. I would like to visit again in the fall.

I spent a fun month here with my dog and younger sibling. It's close to downtown Dunnae. (Hospital, pharmacy, and mart nearby) Coupang is available (Rocket Fresh X) but Naver Store's Market Kurly works instead. The best part of this place is the backyard. It's private and quite spacious, so my dog absolutely loves it. He even wakes me up as soon as we wake up asking to go out to the backyard. (There's also a comfortable deck for relaxing) The host is easy to reach and very kind. This is my third month-long stay (Gapyeong, Gangneung, Dunnae), and this is my first time writing a review. I'd like to visit again next spring or fall.

Kind host~ The surrounding environment is quiet and the view is great, so I highly recommend it as a great place to relax. I heard it gets hot even at night in summer, but it cools down as soon as the sun sets there, so it was really great for a summer vacation. With nearby valleys and convenient access to facilities, I strongly recommend it.

The host was incredibly kind, and the pension was clean and in a great location for exploring. ❤️ We had a BBQ and the garden was well-maintained, so we had a great summer vacation here, enjoying ourselves and relaxing. When we ran out of food or suddenly wanted something to eat, there was a Nonghyup store, a Paris Baguette convenience store, and other amenities just a short walk away, which was very convenient. There are many places to take the kids nearby, but my favorite was Welli Hilli Park. We played in the water park and rode the luge. We also went to Cheongil Valley on the host's recommendation, and the water was so clean and refreshing. I was so impressed that I'm planning to come back here again next year. 💕💕

Location. The house's interior hygiene and cleanliness are very good. The host was also very kind. I highly recommend this house. However, it rained a lot this summer, so I tried setting up a tent on the outside deck, but it was useless and I had to withdraw. Also, the attic on the second floor was too hot to cool down from the summer heat, so it was difficult to sleep. In addition, the smell of rotting cabbage left after harvest in the cabbage field across the road was a bit bothersome, and the road leading to the house is a rough one-lane farm road, so it might be difficult for first-time visitors to use it. However, it is a quiet and secluded place, so it has many advantages. Have a good time...
