[Utility and Security Deposit Settlement Guide] The security deposit is 500,000 KRW per month (28 nights), and includes/links a utility deposit based on a rate of 10,000 KRW per day (280,000 KRW for 28 nights). Utilities (electricity, water, gas, and heating) are settled on an actual cost basis after checking meter readings upon check-in and check-out. On the day of check-out, the remaining security deposit will be returned in full to your account after deducting the actual usage amount. (Seasonal Notes) Summer (July–August): Even when operating a Grade 1 air conditioner at full capacity for a month, the cost is typically estimated at around 150,000 to 200,000 KRW, so most of the remaining security deposit will be refunded. Winter (December–February): Due to the nature of a detached house, excessive heating (such as setting the indoor temperature to 25 degrees) can result in heating costs alone exceeding 500,000 to 600,000 KRW. In this case, any amount exceeding the pre-deductible utility standard will be deducted from the accommodation security deposit (500,000 KRW). (Recommended appropriate heating temperature: 20~22 degrees)
