Deokpo One-Week Review After many twists and turns, I managed to make a reservation and stayed for 6 nights from June 23 (Sunday). It seems that the Live Anywhere website does not reflect the real-time status of the accommodation well... I checked that it was empty, selected a schedule, tried to make a reservation, and was briefly confused when I received a rejection message saying that the last two days were not empty. However, since we have a flexible travel schedule, we communicated with the owner through a message on the app and ended up staying at a cheaper price. Four people including my brother and his wife stayed here, and the bedroom, kitchen, and living room were spacious, so it was very comfortable to stay. The location is a bit off the hill from Deokpo Port, so the surrounding area was very quiet, which was nice, and the view overlooking the beach and the ocean was especially nice, and the spacious living room was very nice (the TV was not big enough for the size of the living room, so when watching my favorite game at night, I put the chair a little closer haha). The kitchen utensils and bathroom supplies were sufficient, so up to six people didn't have to bring anything. My husband and I stayed in bedroom (2), but bedroom (1) had a much bigger bed and a better bathtub and bathroom. However, the bed was not as good as those in good hotels, so I thought it might be a bit too much to ask for. During our 6-night, 7-day stay, we visited the Jeogu Port Hydrangea Garden twice ('hydrangeas' was the primary goal of this Geoje trip), Suntree Farm, Maengjong Bamboo Theme Park, and Geoje Botanical Garden. The hydrangeas at Suntree Farm were at their peak, which was nice, and the cafe there was very satisfying, unlike other famous cafes. And this was my first time visiting Geoje Botanical Garden, and it was really good. As a Sejong citizen, I was surprised that it was better, if not worse, than the National Sejong Arboretum, which I often visit (this is purely my personal opinion, there are others... hehe). At night, I used to go down to Deokpo Beach and enjoy walking barefoot in the shallow water several times. 'Badarang' on the beach offers a great country food called Baekban (I'm not sure if children would like it). And Okpo, not far away, has many good restaurants, so it was convenient and nice. Ciao Bella (Italian), Kim Gwang-yeong Charcoal Grill... etc. In the past, I mainly used Sono Camp or the hotel across from it and enjoyed just looking around that area, but this week in Geoje, I was able to stay at a great accommodation in a different good location on Geoje Island, so I had the opportunity to see Geoje Island in general, and it was a very enjoyable and successful trip.
