Perfect location + city ocean view, "Base Camp Jungmun"

This is a well-maintained accommodation with a view of Jungmun and Jeju's sea, equipped with all the necessary furnishings for a comfortable stay (by my standards ^^). Located in a charming Jeju neighborhood rather than a tourist area (condos, hotels, attractions), it's quiet and offers easy access on foot to various living amenities (marts, restaurants, attractions). The Jungmun oil market, held on the 3rd and 8th of each month, is nearby, so you can enjoy fresh Jeju local ingredients. (The scale is much smaller compared to the Seogwipo oil market.) If there are things you need to check in advance: If you're bringing a car, the parking lot is a mechanical parking system with vehicle restrictions. (SUVs, luxury vehicles, and some compact cars with high clearance cannot use mechanical parking.) You'll need to park in nearby public parking lots, but given Jeju's frequent rain, the location makes it a bit inconvenient to move luggage between the accommodation and parking lot, so someone in your group might complain about it. ^^ Also, to avoid additional expenses, you should prepare at least the minimum towels you'll need during your stay (since there's a washing machine).

Had a wonderful 11-night, 12-day stay with my 6-month-old baby!! The place is very clean and well-equipped with all the necessary items for daily living! What was especially great was having an extra topper, which made staying with the baby really comfortable! Since our vehicle is a sedan, there were no issues with the mechanical parking^^ We visited several restaurants recommended by the host, and they were all delicious👍🏻 We had a great time and would love to stay here again if we visit Jeju next time!

I stayed for 7 nights and 8 days in mid-October. It's exactly as pictured, but the sofa seems to have been replaced... It's a bit larger and cuter than in the photo. It was a girls' trip (I was solo for a few days) and I didn't plan on renting a car, so safety, accessibility, and cleanliness were my criteria for choosing a place to stay. 1. Safety: It's a tourist destination with a mix of local residents, so there were plenty of people walking around late at night, so I didn't have to worry about leaving early or returning home late. Since it's an officetel, I kept the front door closed and double-locked, so I didn't have to worry about late-night guests even when I was sleeping alone. 2. Accessibility: There's a red bus that runs to and from the airport, so it's convenient without transfers. There are bus stops to the left and right of the hotel, so there are plenty of regular buses to the west or east. The bus schedule may differ slightly from what you see online. Getting to the accommodation is fine, but the red bus schedule to the airport is posted at the bus stop in front of the accommodation. It's a good idea to check it out in advance to make sure you're on time for your flight. 3. It's a newly built officetel, and it's well-maintained, so there are no bugs, and the interior is clean as well. (The exterior is so-so.) 4. The host will tell you about nearby restaurants, and since it's near the Jungmun Tourist Area, there's everything you need: restaurants, convenience stores, pharmacies, hospitals, and even a post office. I mostly eat out, so I didn't have to cook at the accommodation, but I think there's a supermarket within walking distance. There's no on-site garbage disposal facility like on the mainland. There's a nearby Jungmun-dong Recycling Assistance Center, so you can take your recycling and trash there for disposal. There's always a manager on site. 5. The high-rise building offers a nice ocean view, but it's actually a bit far from the beach. You can take a shortcut and walk up the mountain for about 30 minutes. While heading toward Saekdal Beach, I stopped by The Cliff for a beer. The atmosphere was great after sunset, and it felt like I was on a trip abroad. I recommend visiting in the evening rather than during the day. There aren't many cafes near Jungmun that serve carrot juice, and Jeju mango juice seems to be the norm. The Cliff has carrot juice. 6. I recently walked Olle Trail Courses 6, 7, and 8. My accommodation is located in the middle of Course 8 and is easily accessible by bus, making it a great choice for solo travelers. There's a washing machine, and your laundry dries while you sleep (there are plenty of drying racks and hangers), so even if you're planning a long hike, you don't need to bring too much: underwear, socks, t-shirts, etc. Most daily necessities are provided, but you should bring your own towel and toothpaste. 7. The bed is king-size, so it comes with a large, high-quality topper. Since I was traveling with someone other than family, having a topper was crucial in my decision. 8. The accommodation has a nice ocean view, but the bed is by the window, and the table and chairs are inside, so it's a bit difficult to just sit and gaze out the window. Mano Coffee House, which serves delicious hand-drip coffee, is nearby, so it's fun to enjoy a cup of coffee, read a book, and watch the kittens dart in and out of the window for food. 9. There's on-site parking, and there's a small public parking lot nearby. It's not fancy, but looking at the small details, electronics, and furniture in every nook and cranny, I could tell the host had put a lot of thought and care into decorating this place. It's a cozy, clean, and warm accommodation.

My family of 3 stayed here for a month and it was great! Since it was a family trip, it seemed safer and better to get a room in the center rather than the outskirts, so we decided to stay here, and I think it was a good choice. While planning a short stay in Jeju, I was looking at the app for a Seogwipo city accommodation near Lee Jung-seop Street, and I was drawn to the reviews full of praise and the ocean view from the window, so I quickly made a reservation at this accommodation in Jungmun. There was a problem with the schedule in the middle, so I changed the reservation period twice, but the host readily approved it, so I headed to the accommodation with a grateful heart even before departure. Since I am a female member and a backpacker, transportation and safety of the accommodation were important, but since it is located in Jungmun city, I could use the city bus like a local, and there were no shortage of amenities in the area. Since the officetel was on the first floor of Jungmun, I was able to stay there without any security issues and with peace of mind. As if I were a resident of Jungmun city, I wandered around the neighborhood mart and shops and visited the restaurants that the owner recommended whenever I had the chance. I think the reason I was able to enjoy the surrounding environment and location so much was because the facilities, furniture, and supplies of this accommodation were clean and of excellent quality. Above all, the bed was the best in size and cushion. I had a good rest when I came home after a good trip, and I felt very sad when I left. I stayed here for a month before getting a job and finding a house in Jeju Island. Since it was an unfamiliar place, I chose this house to focus on adjusting to my job and Jeju Island without worrying about other things. If you live in Jeju Island, you want to live in a house with an ocean view, but on the other hand, you can't ignore security, transportation, and the surrounding commercial area. This house has everything on the first floor. There's a CU convenience store, Kyochon Chicken, Frank Burger, Yellow Chicken, a franchise coffee shop, and Jungmun Complex, but Olive Young and McDonald's are so close. It's hard to list them all. It's also fun to drink ice beer at the Yeokjeon Grandma's Beer on the first floor when you go up to the house. Saekdal Beach is less than 5 minutes away by car. Whenever it's sunset time, I go to Saekdal Beach and watch the sunset. There's no noise at all between floors or houses, and because it's a high-rise building, I wake up every morning looking at the ocean through the large windows. Everything from spoons and chopsticks to ** ** **** is there. It's close to the recycling center, so that's it too. It was so convenient. Clean House has a set delivery date, but the recycling center doesn't have that, so you can freely throw away your trash. You can use the T-money card in the food waste shoe cabinet and use it, and since it has enough money, I used it well without having to charge it additionally. I bought groceries at Hanaro Mart. The parking lot inside the building is a mechanical parking lot, so it may be a little inconvenient, but the Nonghyup parking lot right in front of the building is free after 7 PM or before 8 AM and on weekends, so I mostly used the Nonghyup parking lot. I put it in around 7:10 PM and took it out at 7:50 AM and went to work. ㅎㅎ On the weekend, I put it in after 7 PM on Friday and took it out and put it in freely. Since the car I brought was an SUV, I couldn't park at the tower, so parking was a little inconvenient, but I could use the Nonghyup parking lot across the street on the weekends, so it was okay. I never heard anything from the neighbors, and since it was on the top floor, I didn't have to worry about noise between floors. ㅎㅎ And there is a Turejours on the first floor of the same building, and a convenience store right across the street, so it was very convenient! Oh, and Jungmun Clinic is right next door, and it was nice that they took care of my baby before she turned one. The doctor was kind, and when I went on Saturday morning, it seemed to be a famous clinic with a lot of residents waiting. Don't worry if you have to go to the hospital. Another good thing about being in the city is that Coupang and Ssuk Delivery are available!!! It was the best accommodation for me who walks a lot. There is a bus stop right in front of the accommodation so you can go anywhere, and there is a Hanaro Mart within a 10-minute walk so you can buy bottled water and other necessities cheaply. There is a pharmacy and a bakery right below the accommodation building and a convenience store across the street. There is also a famous Bommal Kalguksu restaurant right in front (I couldn't eat there because the line was too long every time I went thereㅠ)~ If you sit by the window at the table, you can see the ocean in the distance so you can eat while looking at the ocean! The area is not noisy and there is a recycling center that is open almost 24 hours a day nearby so it was easy to recycle or dispose of food waste regardless of the day of the week. If you pass by that road, you can see the ocean beyond the wall so it was nice to walk while taking a morning walk. Plus, if you time it right, you can also visit Jungmun Market at the same time. By the way, I'm diligent about recycling and recycling, so 30 liters of garbage bags a week is plenty.
