Kimnyeong, a one-minute walk from the beach. Kimnyeong Stone Wall House, a one-month stay (main house)

I stayed here for a week with my parents. The location is great, the facilities are good, and the owners are wonderful. I'm not very good at writing, so I'll keep it brief, but it was a very satisfying place to stay.

When deciding to live in Jeju for a month, the most difficult thing to consider was where to stay! I figured many people would have similar experiences, so I've compiled a list, focusing on the things that can be difficult to understand before actually living there. First, let me just say this: I highly recommend Kimnyeong Dol Dam Jip! When considering accommodations, my top priority was dog-friendly accommodations. No matter how nice, cheap, or beautiful a place was, if it didn't allow dogs, I'd pass. (I think some places only allowed very small dogs.) Other than pet-friendly accommodations, most of the other considerations are similar to anywhere else: budget, location, accommodation convenience, host friendliness, cleanliness, etc. However, living in Jeju for a month was different from a typical "trip," focusing on the actual "living" aspect, so the considerations were a bit different. 1. Budget - I've been on many one-night, two-day, and two-night, three-day trips, but I usually prioritize the feel over value. Even if it's a little more expensive, I want to create good memories. But when you're planning a month-long stay, the accommodation itself costs a lot of money. Based solely on the feel of the place, many places in Jeju cost 400,000 to 500,000 won for a month's stay alone. Kimnyeong Dol Dam Jip offers a great value for money, and it's also a great place to stay, so it's a solid choice! 2. Accommodation Convenience - Water Pressure: While I was staying here, friends and family also visited Jeju Island briefly, so I looked for other accommodations. I was shocked to find that many of them had weak water pressure. Jeju Island has many older houses with beautiful interiors, but the fixtures themselves are difficult to repair. This makes showering difficult. Dol Dam Jip seems to have even fixed these fixtures, and the water pressure is incredibly strong. The drainage is also clean and well-maintained, making it incredibly comfortable. - Heating and Cooling: I came in the summer and it was incredibly hot, but there was a large air conditioner in the living room and another in each room, so I didn't even notice the heat. - Laundry/Drying: There's a washing machine inside the house, and there's also a large washer and dryer in the shared storage area, which was really nice because I could get my clothes fresh and clean right after playing at the beach. - Cleanliness: Perhaps because we were pet-friendly, the owner seemed to be extra thorough in cleaning every nook and cranny. The kitchen, bathroom, and room were all incredibly clean. There were also small storage areas inside and outside the house, which made it easier to organize our monthly stay. This way, our belongings were less scattered and everything was neatly organized. 3. Location - While a short trip might have been a good experience, the area around the house was perfect for experiencing real Jeju life. Rather than the touristy, bustling areas of Hamdeok to the left and Woljeong-ri to the right, we enjoyed a daily walk with the grandmother next door, and the quiet beach right outside our door was just what we envisioned for Jeju life. Every time we chatted with the locals, we realized how fake the Jeju dialect we'd heard in dramas was. The location was perfect for immersing ourselves in the quiet, rural life of Jeju. Aside from that, the owner responded quickly to messages, and when we occasionally ran into each other for housekeeping, he took such good care of our entire family that it felt like we were at my grandmother's country home. I actually enjoyed sharing the front yard with guests. It felt like we were in a rural area, so we could casually greet each other and share travel tips. In short, the atmosphere, price, and convenience of the place were perfect for a one-month stay, and my family and I made many wonderful memories without any inconvenience!

I'm so sad I can't upload any pictures!! The yard is really pretty!! I couldn't settle on one place to stay for a month in Jeju, so I booked two places on the west side and finally settled on this place in the east side... The west side was recommended, and I'd researched this place myself, so I was a little worried...? Well... out of the three, this place was the best!!! As soon as I walked in, I could tell it was clean and comfortable. I went with my baby, and the windowsill was so clean that I didn't have to worry about him touching it... And there were no bugs!! In my previous house, we practically cohabitated with beetles, centipedes, and mosquitoes, so I guess that's just how houses with yards are. ㅜㅜㅜ I thought I couldn't live in a house with a yard, but here, even with a yard, there were no bugs inside!!! Of course, there were mosquitoes in the yard, but we sprayed repellent and played! We didn't even have toys, but every morning, we went for a walk to Tteungseogil, played in the yard, and had a great time with our baby. ㅠㅠ It was close to Tteungseogil and Gimnyeong Beach, so we went for a walk and had a great time... It was so good that my husband and I talked about staying here next time we come to Jeju Island ㅠㅠ And the nearby Kimnyeong Bakery is the best... Insaeng Salt Bread... The other breads were all delicious, so I went there almost every day ㅎㅎ The host was also kind and we had a great time!!!! It's a house I really want to live in. It's the best!!

In short, it was so great. At first, I was worried because there were no reviews when I made the reservation, but the owner was so kind and the house was pretty and comfortable, so I made a lot of happy memories with the babies for two weeks. First of all, the two rooms were both spacious and the living room was also spacious, so there was no inconvenience in living. I had an 11-month-old baby who crawled around, but there was nothing dangerous and they were able to run around the spacious house and play well. The location was also really good. The ocean was just a 1-minute walk away, so I was able to observe sea creatures on the rocks with the babies, try hole fishing, and have fun. It was a 10-minute walk to Segi-al Beach and a 5-minute drive away, so it was convenient because I could play in the water all day and come home to wash up. You could also have a barbecue in the yard, so it was nice to spend time with the family, and the babies were able to run around and practice walking. I was so satisfied that I wanted to live in a house like this after living in an apartment. Above all, I liked the fact that the owner put a lot of thought into every detail of the house. This is a place I want to come back to next time I live in Jeju. I highly recommend it!
