Starlight Courtyard Healing Private House #NobelPrize Literature Tour

I was born and raised in Seoul and lived in apartments for a long time, always having a romantic longing for the countryside. I happily fulfilled that dream here. Even rainy days were wonderful. Sitting under the eaves, sipping a warm cup of tea while admiring the roses was lovely, and cooking pajeon while listening to the rain was absolutely delightful. I had made it a routine to start each day watching the roses bloom beautifully in the morning, but then it was time to return to Seoul. I am grateful to the host for allowing me to spend such happy moments here. Everything about staying here was wonderful, but I'd like to add a few suggestions for our next meeting~ *It would be nice to have a hanger to hang extra clothes. *I wish the chair at the window table had been a bit lower~ My posture was a bit uncomfortable when reading or working on a laptop ㅠ *If the living room sofa had been larger, it would have added another layer of comfort~ *Finally, what I'd like to recommend to other guests is to strongly recommend watching the sunrise at Sodeung Island in the morning and sending a lucky letter, and taking a walk along the stream near Toyo Market after meals~!!

I stayed 7 days at a hotel in the Gyeongnam area and 7 days here in Jangheung. It was nice because it was more comfortable and quieter than the hotel. The location is convenient when moving to the southern Jeolla region. I recommend a barefoot walk at Boseong Yulpo Beach followed by a seawater sauna, and for those who love mountains, I recommend Jeam Mountain. I highly recommend visiting Wando Botanical Garden, Wando Tower, and Shinji Myeongsa Beach. The owner is very neat, and the cleanliness is excellent.

The location in the town center made it convenient to get around, and I could visit the terminal, market, and mart without a car. Since there's an apartment complex nearby, there's also a convenience store, which is convenient. Most of all, it was wonderful to see the beautiful courtyard every morning.

I'm leaving after having a comfortable rest~

To me, exhausted from people and work in my daily life, this place was a healing sanctuary, a place of rest and peace, a cozy and warm haven like my own mother. There is a front yard where I can run around with my child~^^ The room is cozy and tidy~ It is a truly clean accommodation where the host’s attention to cleanliness shines through~ I was surprised once again because the bedding, tableware, and everything else were so spotless~ Also, the host is really kind and responds quickly~ It is hard to find someone like this anywhere else! I had a very comfortable stay for a month, just looking at beautiful things and breathing in the fresh air, and I am leaving with a heavy heart~ Thank you for providing such a wonderful space~ Swallowing my regret that it would have been even better if I had seen the flowers in bloom in the spring~ I will visit again~

If you stay for more than a week, it seems more like a ‘life’ in a new area rather than a ‘trip’ touring tourist attractions. You don’t just leave your luggage at the hotel, look around, and sleep, but you also sleep late, roll around inside when it rains, and clean the house. When you have to live in a new area, if someone meticulously prepares the accommodation for the ‘life’ of the traveler, the quality of life can only go up. This accommodation felt like a well-organized and prepared space for such ‘lifers.’ A comfortable bed, a table and chairs where you can do something while looking out the yard outside the window, a smart TV that you can change channels on and connect to your phone, and a Bluetooth speaker that you can play music on. It rained for three days, half of the week, but the whole family was able to spend time loosely in various places in the house. The space was divided, and each space was perfect for a specific activity. I could listen to music and read books, sit at the table and fold paper or draw pictures, or just roll around on the cozy bed. I could also sit on a chair under the eaves and just blankly stare. When I finally got the urge to go out in the rain, I wandered around Jangheung. The accommodation is located a little outside of Jangheung City, so it was quieter and convenient for moving around the area. The surrounding lights weren’t too strong, so I was able to look up at the night sky and see the Big Dipper shining brightly for the first time in a long time. Unless you move into a new house, you won’t be able to find everything you need for living. It may not be ‘convenient,’ but the space is cozy enough to make you feel ‘comfortable.’ If you plan to live around Jangheung, Boseong, and Gangjin for more than a week, I recommend this accommodation as it is a great place with no shortcomings in terms of location or facilities.

I chose Jangheung because of its beautiful house. I wanted to experience living in a house with a yard before moving to a new neighborhood I'd never been to before, and I also wanted to take my kids on a historical tour, so I maximized my field trips. The host was incredibly kind, and the accommodations were incredibly comfortable and wonderful. The beds are usually uncomfortable, but this place is so comfortable, and because it's a south-facing restaurant, I was able to try yoga in the yard and soak up the sun. ^^ A short walk away means I don't need a car; there's a supermarket, convenience store, and franchise coffee shop nearby. The Jangheung Library is also nearby, so I borrowed books and spent time reading with my kids. A week flew by. I wanted to explore Jangheung and Mokpo and Jindo, but even just exploring the Jangheung area, there were so many things to see. ^^ The only downside was that the kids didn't want to leave the house. It was so comfortable, unlike living in apartments, that I didn't have to worry about my heels. It was even better because it wasn't too hot or too cold. I had a great time relaxing, as if it were my own home.

I thought the house wouldn't be as pretty as the photos, but when I arrived, it was incredibly clean and even better than the photos. I came here to relax alone for a week, and I felt incredibly rested. I'm a light sleeper, so I wanted a quiet, independent house with a yard. It was so quiet, and I slept soundly after 10 p.m.! I loved the morning sunlight and warmth. I drank coffee while looking out at the yard every day, and the ocean and mountains within 30 minutes were truly amazing. The host's kindness and devotion were truly evident in this house. I came here to read a lot of books, but I didn't get to read much because I was busy eating and walking around. ㅠ If you're looking for a warm and cozy place to relax, I highly recommend this place. Thank you again to the host for providing such a wonderful space.

This is a place where the word 'rest' really fits. I loved the time I spent sitting on the yard chair and having a cup of coffee every day. I definitely need to live in a house with a yard later.
