Everywhere in Ganghwa is a historic site and a tourist attraction. Convenience stores are located within a 5-minute drive. Our accommodation is a country house built in 1935 that has been remodeled to match the warm, cozy, and charming atmosphere of Seogol-jip. 🌿 [Sosodam] Accommodation Rules and Additional Information Sosodam is a private detached Hanok that preserves the warmth of a historic house from 1935. We ask that you please familiarize yourself with the rules below so that everyone can have a pleasant and peaceful stay. Simple cooking allowed indoors (Cooking restrictions): To maintain a pleasant indoor environment and protect the wood of the Hanok, cooking dishes that produce strong odors or splatter a lot of oil (such as pork belly, grilled fish, or fried food) is not permitted indoors. Please use the microwave or kettle primarily for simple food preparation and hot water cooking. Caution regarding insect influx due to the nature of a country house: Due to the nature of a country Hanok located near nature, outdoor insects may enter if doors are left open for extended periods. Please ensure that insect screens and doors are properly closed. Nighttime Quiet Time (22:00 ~): We are located within a quiet rural village. Loud singing or parties in the outdoor yard are prohibited after 10 PM; please enjoy pleasant conversation indoors. No Smoking & Fire Prevention Indoors: Due to the nature of the traditional wooden house, smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. The use of open flames is strictly forbidden except in designated fire-gazing areas.
