Mukho Lighthouse, Ocean View Restaurant

Spent a week healing in Donghae and heading back. I arrived at this accommodation after planning a week-long stay, and I was grateful throughout my stay because the owner was so warm and kind. They checked if I needed anything while I was there, and whenever I made a request, they resolved everything quickly without showing any sign of annoyance. They even thoughtfully provided delicious snacks on my way in and out. Since it was a week in an unfamiliar place, I was a bit nervous at first, but thanks to the owner, it felt like I was visiting a relative's house and getting some good rest. I recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Donghae.

This is the best house. The retro-themed accessories and the owner's warm and witty interior decoration were impressive. I had a much better first impression than expected. It was a clean, well-organized, quiet, and cozy space. Sun and Moon~~~ A week spent watching the sunrise over the East Sea from the balcony will remain a cherished memory for a long time. I sincerely recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to the East Sea.

This is a repeat visit review 👍👍 (You know it's real if it's a repeat visit review...^^ㅎㅎ) I prioritize location, cleanliness (including the smell^^;;), and price when choosing a place to stay. The owner's place is a truly hexagonal ocean view ❤️ 👍👍 1. Location You can walk to Mukho Lighthouse, Nongoldamgil, and Mukoya Gift Shop in 10 minutes. Dojjaebigol Sky Valley and Haerang Observatory are also about 18 minutes away. Most tourist attractions, like the waterside park and Eodal Breakwater, are within 10 minutes by car. Not only Donghae Beach, but also the beaches near Samcheok are 20 minutes away. (Chuam Beach, Chotdaebawi Rock, etc.) And there's a CU convenience store just a minute away, so you can shop whenever you're hungry. 👍👍 2. Cleanliness There are absolutely no odors that you might not recognize from the photos. The bedding is incredibly clean and has a subtle scent. If you have a keen sense of smell and are a fan of cleanliness like me, don't hesitate to book here. ^^*!! Every room is spotlessly clean, and the dishes are clean. Although it's an apartment built in the 1990s, the interior seems to have been partially renovated, and the bathroom is practically brand new. The appliances are Samsung, and the furniture is clean. There's a cordless vacuum cleaner, so you can clean it yourself whenever you want. 👍👍 3. Price I booked a 6-night, 7-day stay during peak season, and it's cheaper than other two-room accommodations. You can check by selecting a reservation date. 👍👍 4. View This is a great location, clean, and great value for a two-room apartment. The view is ocean view 🌊. The view of the ocean from up close feels like nothing but the ocean, but it blends in with the village, creating a truly picturesque, beautiful experience. This was my first time staying at a place with an ocean view like this, and it was so amazing and beautiful. ㅠㅠㅠ The view of the village, along with the lush green mountains and trees, is truly breathtaking, like a picture frame!! And the apartment was a filming location for "Spring Days" (Ganda), so you can really feel the 90s vibe. Those who have seen the movie will feel like they've been there. It was truly, truly wonderful... ㅠㅠㅠ 👍👍 5. Friendliness You'd think you'd be in for a treat if you satisfied just the above four points, but the owner is incredibly kind and welcoming. He asks if there were any inconveniences and offers recommendations for tourist attractions and restaurants. He's incredibly attentive and friendly. When traveling, the people of a region or country often define the impression you get of a destination. We met such kind and wonderful people. Perhaps the reason we loved Donghae so much was thanks to our hosts and the people. I was so grateful to have met such wonderful people. 👍👍🥹❤️❤️❤️🩷🩵🧡 Also, while I can't upload photos, I couldn't share them. The owner's taste was evident in the retro-inspired items, and the amenities and small appliances provided in the room were truly wonderful. Perhaps because it's a one-month stay, the place is furnished with a cordless vacuum cleaner, various dishes and utensils, a washing machine, a drying rack, a microwave, a rice cooker, and other amenities, making it feel almost like home. If you visit Donghae, I highly recommend stopping by, and I'm also grateful to the hosts. I hope to visit again next time I'm in Gangwon-do. I highly recommend this place. 💕💕👍👍

It was the best accommodation that made my beautiful East Sea trip even more fulfilling and satisfying ☺️🩷❤️ It was the perfect accommodation for me who always prioritizes cleanliness, cost-effectiveness, and location to tourist attractions👍🩷 If the above conditions are met, I don't really consider the view as a second priority, but this accommodation has an ocean view🌊 where you can see the ocean from any place👍👍 I think I kept exclaiming "Wow~ the view is really good" every morning while staying there^^ The ocean is not visible from the front, but it looks like it's from a high-rise building, and the sea and the village look harmonized, which was really romantic...^^* In addition, it was an apartment that was the filming location for the movie "Spring Days Are Gone", so it felt like I was at a tourist attraction, and it had the unique sensibility of a 90s apartment, which was really nice 🩷❤️ The interior was partially decorated, so it was very clean and convenient to use, and if it had been remodeled, it would have felt the same as any other accommodation, but they maintained the existing interior in some parts and matched it with retro props, so it was more emotional and enjoyable to look at. There were a lot of really interesting retro props👍👍, but it's a shame that I can't upload the photos..^^;; Since it's a smart TV, you can watch Netflix, YouTube, etc., and there's a beam projector, so it's nice to watch a pretty movie in the evening and go to bed. There's also an LP player full of emotions 🩷❤️ And there's a cordless vacuum cleaner in the room, which was really nice. It's easy to clean up whenever you want, and it's really nice to be able to use it like you're at home. The appliances were all Samsung and LG, and the furniture was clean👍👍 Actually, I have a sensitive sense of smell and I'm really afraid of bugs, so I look at cleanliness a lot when choosing a place to stay, but there was no smell at all and I didn't see a single bug^^!! I really recommend it to those who look at cleanliness of the place 👍👍 And the owner was really kind and attentive, so I felt like I was on vacation the whole time I was staying there 👍👍 He even sent me a list of good restaurants and was really attentive I'd 100% come back 🩷❤️ I recommend you stay here if you come to Donghae 👍👍

1. Cleanliness The most important thing I consider when choosing a place to stay is cleanliness. The bedding and floor were spotlessly clean. The bathroom was also brand new. They seem to be very thorough with their cleaning. It was so spotless that I felt embarrassed using it. 2. A Restaurant with a View The view from the veranda is breathtaking, with the Mukho Sea spread out before me. I was pleasantly surprised, as the view exceeded my expectations. You can even wake up and watch the sunrise from the veranda. I woke up every morning to watch the sunrise during my entire stay :) 3. Location I arrived without a car, but the location was fantastic. It's located in a residential area where Mukho residents live, so it's incredibly quiet. If you want to experience the local vibe, not just the tourist experience, this place is highly recommended. It's also within walking distance of most Mukho attractions, like the Mukho Lighthouse, Dojjaebigol, and Nongoldamgil. Just a short walk down is Mukho Market. Thanks to this, I was able to fully enjoy Mukho on my own. 4. The owner is the best And the owner is incredibly kind. He said he originally built this place with the goal of creating a comfortable space for children to visit. Perhaps that's why every detail is filled with care. He made sure everything was comfortable throughout our stay and even recommended local attractions in Mukho, making our stay truly enriching.

I was worried about living in Mukho for two months, but my worries disappeared after arriving at the accommodation. I felt like my stress was gone as I looked at the clean environment and cute interior decorations. The sea and the lighthouse seen from the accommodation were so nice. There was a bus stop in front of the house, so I used it well. Even on hot days, when I opened the front and back windows, a cool breeze came in, so it was a cool accommodation that was enough to avoid the heat with natural breeze rather than air conditioning. I wanted to extend my stay for another month, but I already had a reservation, so I had to finish it with regret and leave, but if I have the chance to come to Mukho again, I will come here. The host took care of me in detail and was kind, so I am so grateful. I hope to see you again. I spent two months very comfortably. Thank you.

I had only wanted to go back to Mukho, where I had briefly stopped by with friends about 10 years ago, and I ended up booking this place as a week-long trip since I had a long-awaited vacation. When I arrived, I felt that the place was clean and cutely decorated, and I could feel the owner's attention to detail. The owner even prepared water (6 bottles of 1800ml). I am grateful for his warmth and consideration. I had a quiet rest until the next day. It is a place I can recommend to my friends to visit as well.
