Surroundings & additional info

1 minute walk: convenience store, bus stop, valley, walking path, restaurant, cafe 5 minutes by car: Guryongsa Temple, Chiaksan Mountain Trail, lake, highway Hanok Dokchae, built in September 2024 with Korean traditional cypress trees. It has a warm interior and a large yard. The air is cool and clear because there is a mountain right next to it. It happened a long time ago, about 1,300 years ago. A monk visited Mt. Chiak in Wonju to carefully select a temple site. Looking around, I was satisfied with the view of Birobong Peak to the east and the valley to the west. There was a very large pond in front of it. A monk who thought that he had to fill in the pond in order to build the temple's Daeungjeon approached the pond. When you reach the pond, what do you think? There are nine dragons there. It is said that the monk who won the bet with the dragon filled in the pond with dirt and created the current Guryongsa Temple. How about spending some quality time with your family, taking in the energy and beautiful scenery of Mt. Chiak, a famous mountain where dragons also lived? We invite you to Hanok Iguryong. Hanok Iguryong is built with yellow clay and cypress wood, which helps eliminate toxins from the body and provides a sense of mental and physical stability. It is said to help with chronic fatigue recovery and metabolism activation, so please visit us with your loved ones and friends. We will prepare to ensure that you have a great time. Located near Guryongsa Temple in Wonju-si, Gangwon-do. 5 minutes by car to Guryongsa Temple, 1 minute walk to convenience store, 1 minute walk to valley (swimming available), 1 minute walk to bus stop, hiking Mt. Chiak (possible to Seonnyeotang Valley, Seryeom Falls, Birobong, etc.)
