A Week in Miryang: A Small Miracle I took a break from my busy life in Dongtan and spent a week in a secluded, rural detached house in Miryang, South Gyeongsang Province. The moment I arrived, the air felt different. The dust and noise of the city were nowhere to be found. Instead, all I could hear were the sound of trees swaying in the wind, the distant crowing of chickens, and the tranquility of my heart... I especially loved the modern exterior, which contrasted with the surrounding countryside, and the wooden interior, which gently wafted a woody scent as I stepped inside. The soybean paste stew, made with vegetables from the neighboring garden, had a rich flavor I could never find in my neighborhood. In the evening, I had a barbecue with my family in the yard, and even the sound of the meat grilling under the stars was romantic. There were fewer bugs than I expected, and the large windows directly connected to the living room made it incredibly convenient to carry food. During the day, the kids played in the pool, and I worked on my laptop. It was a magical experience, with creative ideas flowing freely, something I wouldn't find at work. A child suddenly shouted in the yard, "It's a ladybug! It's a real ladybug!" At first, I thought it was a joke, but it really was! A shiny ladybug was climbing a tree branch. The children carried magnifying glasses instead of smartphones. "Mom, this is a ladybug, but it has five dots!" Upon closer inspection, this place was a veritable ecological museum. This detached house in Miryang wasn't just a place to stay; it was a space to slow down and reconnect with myself. A week felt too short, and I almost cried the day I left. Next time, I'll return for a month.

When you want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, a short drive out of the city comes you to this quiet accommodation nestled between lush mountains and rice paddies. Entering the yard, a spacious lawn unfolds before you, and children run and play, their laughter filling the air. On rainy days, you can sit on the veranda, watching the fog settle over the mountainside and enjoy the leisure of a warm cup of tea. Staying with my loved one, I experienced time passing slowly. That time will remain in my memory for a long time. I'm heading back tomorrow, but suddenly I find myself thinking, "When will I ever come back?" Thanks to you, I had a wonderful time. Thank you😊

My parents stayed here, and they said the owner was friendly and the facilities were very clean. They enjoyed watching Netflix on the large TV, and the washing machine and all the appliances were clean, making their stay even more comfortable than at home. I was delighted. The only issue was the sloping parking lot, which was a bit of a concern for my father, who has difficulty moving around. They were happy to hear they were working on repairs to the parking lot. I would definitely come back again.
