After finishing my 34-year public service career, Jungmun Ocean Stay made it easy for me to fulfill my first bucket list dream of living in Jeju Island for a month and completing the Olle Trail. At first, I was worried about leaving my hometown of Cheorwon with my wife and living in a foreign land for a month, but the accommodation was located in the middle of Jungmun, Seogwipo-si, so it was safe and comfortable in all aspects of life, including accommodation, transportation, and parking. The host always answered my questions kindly and promptly, so it was a happy one-month stay... Thanks to you, I finished 23 of the 27 Olle Trail courses and I plan to come back in the summer to complete the remaining 4. I plan to stay here at Jungmun Ocean Stay at that time as well... Host... I spent about two weeks in Jungmun, from late October to November 13th. I've been to Jeju Island often, but this was my first time on such a leisurely trip. I've hiked Hallasan from Seongpanak to Eorimok, with three courses left over, and I've practically completed the entire hike. Every day was exhausting, with walking, eating, and drinking, but I was able to relax in a comfortable accommodation. The location was convenient, near the Jungmun Post Office transfer parking lot, making it easy to get around by bus, and there were plenty of places to eat. I especially appreciated the host's helpful guidance and helpful answers to my questions. I'd love to visit again.

The accommodation where I stayed for 3 weeks because I wanted to walk the Jeju Olle Trail was clean and comfortable for two people to stay in without any inconvenience. More than anything, I had to use the bus to get around, but the location of the accommodation was quiet and convenient for transportation, so it was a satisfying Jeju life. Luckily, when I made the reservation, there was a special discount period, so they exempted utility bills, and I went with a grateful heart. It was a memorable trip.

I stayed in Jeju Island for 2 weeks. I rented a place for one week and walked for another week. The transportation is good. There are many good restaurants. The library is close. Hanaro Mart. And it is close to school, so it was good for walking. The accommodation was clean and good for staying alone. There are many good restaurants nearby, so it is good for walking. I think I will come back again if I find a place to stay in Seogwipo or Jungmun next time.

I stayed here from March 4 to April 2, 2024. I communicated well with the host right away, and I was satisfied with the cleanliness of the accommodation, location, and surrounding environment. I walked around 15 Olle trails during my stay for a month, and the Jungmun Post Office bus stop was close to the accommodation, so it was easy to use public transportation, and there were many bus services. I walked to Hyesung Meat Mart and Hanaro Mart to do my shopping, and I also used the bathhouse and the restroom, which were close by. Beritne Oreum is right in front of the accommodation, so it's good for a walk, and Cheonjeyeon Waterfall is within walking distance, so it's good to look around the accommodation. I think the things you worry about when living in Jeju for a month are whether the host is a good person, whether the accommodation environment is clean, and the cost, but I'm satisfied. The host returned the deposit only with the management fee deducted, and did not collect the cleaning fee. If you use it cleanly and clean it before you leave, they might do it again.^^ If you are planning to live in Jeju, I recommend this place where I stayed.

The host is kind! When I first arrived, he gave me basic instructions, such as how to turn on the boiler, and when I needed a blanket because my group added during the trip, he even brought me an extra blanket~ The accommodation was not too difficult for 1~2 people to live in, and it was nice that there were basic facilities such as a desk, microwave, rice cooker, washing machine, and drying rack. You should bring your own items (body products, soap, detergent, towels, hair dryer, toilet paper, etc.). There is a Daiso 5~10 minutes away by bus, and a Hanaro Mart about 15 minutes away on foot, so I mostly bought things there. However, although it is stated as a city view, it is adjacent to the hallway of the same building, so I mostly lived with the blinds down. (The room is visible from outside.) *It seems okay for people who are not very greedy for the view. I am a backpacker, so the location of the accommodation was very good. The Jungmun Bus Transfer Station (Jungmun Post Office) is a 3-5 minute walk from the accommodation, so I was able to go to the airport, Osulloc, Sanbangsan, E-Mart, and Seogwipo City Hall without any problems. There are many franchise stores nearby, such as Starbucks, Baetteok, Abaut Cafe, Paris Baguette, Tous Les Jours, Mom's Touch, and McDonald's, as well as many raw fish restaurants and black pork restaurants. The utility bill came out to around 110,000 won for 18 nights and 19 days. I usually live with two people, so it might be a little less if I lived alone~

It was clean and dust-free, so I had a comfortable stay! There is a lot of storage space, the soundproofing is good, and all the provided items (microwave, electric pot, vacuum cleaner, etc.) can be used conveniently! You need to bring your own towels, kitchen detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, and hair dryer, but there is a convenience store right below, so it wasn't too inconvenient. The owner is also kind, so I would definitely visit again.
