The best week spent at Yeongwol Hwangto Bang, truly healing and rejuvenating! I stayed for a week and had an unforgettable time. Just facing the clear sky and open countryside scenery like in a photograph made my heart feel refreshed. The best part was definitely the warm ondol room with a traditional fireplace. During the day it was hot because it's the countryside, but at night the surroundings were filled with mountains and a clear river flowing, making it chilly. However, lying on the warm ondol floor heated the traditional way, all the fatigue and stress I had accumulated seemed to melt away. It's hard to feel such emotions these days, but I felt both my body and mind becoming healthier. The small rural experiences I enjoyed during my stay were also truly charming. Every moment, whether sitting on the yard deck listening to the wind or spending time at the outdoor table, was healing. A week passed so quickly that it was disappointing. I highly recommend this place to those who want to quietly feel nature and take genuine rest. Thank you, owner, for creating such wonderful memories. I will definitely visit again next time!

I found this house in the mountains of Gyangwondo, buried in a thick layer of snow, feeling isolated! My husband and I have lived here for quite a few years, and even for a month, and this was one of the best houses I've ever seen! Times spent sitting on the sun-filled yard deck, gazing out at the sparkling, trickling river before us. Times spent listening to the radio and writing in our diary in the room, where the stove was simmering. Times spent laughing and dancing in the spacious living room, free from the worry of noise. Times spent sitting on the mezzanine level of the master bedroom, intoxicated by the beauty of the mountains and river beyond the window. While the time spent in isolation, buried in snow, as I'd hoped, (It only snowed the day before we left, and it was bitterly cold the entire time ㅠ), it was a truly wonderful week, thanks to all the wonderful times we had. One thing I'm worried about is... We want to keep it hidden away and find it, but I'm already worried that the competition for reservations will be fierce during the most beautiful season of spring.

Stay Period: November 24, 2025 - January 4, 2026 In my case, I stayed in the countryside for a month with my brothers. Born and raised in Seoul, we had never lived in the countryside before, so we were both excited and anxious. However, from the moment we arrived until we checked out, we had a truly wonderful time. I truly felt at home amidst the mountains, surrounded by nature. Even when we ran out of fuel for the boiler, the host immediately refilled it, and whenever we had questions, he was always there to help us. Thank you. (I'm sorry I bothered you so much with all my questions. ㅠㅠ) I made a few rude remarks, like accidentally bringing a knife from the accommodation. Thank you so much for your understanding. I'll definitely visit again if I have the chance!!

When I first visited the house, it was incredibly clean. That made it even cleaner, and the host's hospitality was also excellent. The Yeongwol scenery, the stars at night, and the fire pit in the yard were all wonderful. The host also recommended nearby restaurants and attractions, which made it fun to visit. The interior of the house was centered around the living room, with a separate bedroom and bathroom on either side, making it very convenient. The boiler was warm enough at 22 degrees Celsius, and the fireplace room was warm enough to sleep comfortably at night after turning on the fire around 4 p.m. The board games with the kids, hide-and-seek, and the charcoal-grilled pork belly in the yard were all unforgettable memories. I plan to visit again soon.

Quiet surroundings. Since it's a house built with wood, it feels cool even in the middle of summer ~~ Duck baekseuk in a cauldron in the yard ~~^^ Gathering freshwater snails at the Donggang River in front of the house & Even a cormorant fishing experience ~~ I can't believe how 9 nights and 10 days passed ~~ Looking forward to coming back in winter to sleep in an ondol room while enjoying a wood fire, I try to ease my regret.

My spouse and I are both ward nurses and really needed a break. After searching for a while, we chose the host's home. We enjoyed gazing at the water, the forest, and the rain to our heart's content, woke up to the sound of birds, and felt incredibly fresh air. We had the best vacation ever. Next time, we want to go back for a month-long stay.

I spent a quiet and comfortable time here. The view from the yard is so nice. At night, there were so many stars that I was able to heal for a long time. A week passed so quickly that I'm sad to leave. The hosts were kind, so I was able to stay with peace of mind. I will visit again when the seasons change next time.

We stayed for 9 days in January and 13 days in February. This place gave our family great memories. The night sky was beautiful with stars and snowy scenery. It's an unforgettable place. Everything was perfect. Thank you, host.

My hometown where I grew up is in Gangwon-do, but it was too difficult for the children to travel all the way there, so after searching and searching, I found this place. I deliberated a lot before choosing it, but I think my whole family will never forget this. Thank you so much!
