About this place
Located in a quiet rural village, it is within walking distance of walking trails, restaurants, cafes, a library, and a train station. Through the south-facing windows, fields that change with the seasons unfold, while to the north, you can enjoy the scenery of the nearby mountains. With Yangdong Station and Yangdong Library located about a 5-minute walk away, it is convenient to visit by train without a car or to enjoy books and walks during your stay. You can spend your day at a slower pace than usual, drinking tea, reading a book, or doing light exercise while gazing at the scenery outside the window.

Reflecting on the shortcomings I experienced while traveling with my family, we operate with morning check-in and afternoon check-out. We also plan to operate in conjunction with the Maewol Workshop and Guesthouse, which will be opening nearby. Like the 'Maewol Workshop and Guesthouse' currently being prepared in Maewol-ri, Yangdong-myeon, this is a space designed to provide a stay that feels like a trip but is as comfortable as home, allowing you to briefly escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend time resting, moving, and thinking. Therefore, resembling a quiet and cozy hotel, the layout consists of: a living room serving as a lounge perfect for drinking tea or reading; a fitness room featuring a mirrored wall and a Pilates barrel; another room serving as a tea room with a sunlit veranda and singing bowls; and a bedroom for comfortable relaxation. Outside the window, views of fields and passing trains unfold, while on the opposite side, the scenery of the village and mountains is visible. You can experience the quiet tranquility of the countryside, a feeling difficult to find in the city. This is how a day here unfolds. In the morning, take a leisurely stroll through the village; during the day, stay in the lounge to read or work, stretch for a moment, or enjoy a quiet time with a cup of tea in the tearoom. In the evening, try spending time slowly wrapping up your day while watching the scenery of passing trains. The lounge area in the living room features ‘Lounge Chairs’ by Nahij Wood Studio, making it a perfect place to linger while reading or drinking tea. "Comfortable even when sitting for a long time, these lounge chairs are filled with the meticulous care of a young furniture artist." * https://blog.naver.com/studio_nahij The small table in the tearoom, where the singing bowl is placed, is a unique 'Ilju Soban' crafted at the workshop of Master Soban Master Lee Jong-seok. It is ideal for singing bowl meditation and perfect for enjoying a cup of tea. We plan to gradually add furniture and wooden items produced by the Maewol Workshop or collaborating artists, as well as works by our partner craft artists. We will slowly develop this into a space where visitors do not merely gaze at the exhibited works, but actively touch and use them during their stay to experience the texture of the materials and the thoughts of the creators. We ask for your careful use so that this space can continue to thrive.
