I stayed at Jangsu Chorok Daemun House for two weeks in early August when the heat wave was severe. With two children, ages 9 and 3, I had many concerns before booking, but I decided to make a reservation with the determination to make their summer vacation meaningful. When we first arrived, I enjoyed the feeling of the house, which held childhood memories, but the children were reluctant about the unfamiliar countryside house and the lack of toys, and they cried. Fortunately, after a day or two of making memories, by the last day they were crying because they didn't want to go home. In the quiet and peaceful countryside village surrounded by mountains and streams, every day was serene. It was convenient as the county seat and Namwon tourist attractions were not far away. We borrowed books from a nearby library, visited Nuri Park, took horseback riding and ecological education classes, and explored nearby valleys and water play areas. We spent the whole day catching freshwater snails, ran around the yard on rainy days, and played with cats that visited every day. The 3-year-old enjoyed playing hide-and-seek endlessly, running between the four rooms. For my 9-year-old who is interested in living things, it was truly a paradise. At home, he would ask every morning if he could watch TV, but here he started each day asking if he could go catch dragonflies. We encountered green tree frogs, dragonflies, and grasshoppers every day, and occasionally caught locusts. On weekends, we invited friends over to catch freshwater snails together, have water gun fights, set up mosquito nets on the terrace, and eat samgyetang. A friend who came to visit said it was truly like a summer vacation. Although it was a countryside house, it was clean, and thanks to the lush forest, we were able to spend cool and peaceful time even in the height of summer. I am grateful to the host who was always kind.

This is where our family came to rest after leaving the city. We had a great time relaxing in a quiet and cozy home. I could tell the owner carefully selected every single decoration and gave a lot of thought to where additional lighting and locks were needed. Although it's unfortunate that we couldn't stay for the full duration because our child suddenly developed a high fever and we had to return home in a hurry, we felt truly comfortable during the time we stayed. One thing I noticed was that there was quite a bit of dust inside the fan, which made it a bit difficult to use. I would appreciate it if you could check on this. I had a wonderful 3-week rest! Since it's a detached house, it was quiet and comfortable, so I really enjoyed a proper staycation. Above all, there were cute cats, so I felt very happy and healed throughout my stay. There's a Hanaro Mart within 10 minutes by car, so shopping was convenient, and Namwon is also nearby, making it perfect for a light sightseeing trip or enjoying delicious food. The space was comfortable and I was able to truly rest my mind. It was the best accommodation. If I get the chance next time, I definitely want to visit again!
