A Time of Rest and Healing 1. Friendly Host The comfort I felt in her voice during our first phone call after booking was not limited to her voice alone. She possessed a sense of humor, kindness, and comfort. This was a solo trip with my mother. I had informed her in advance, and she was very considerate of my situation and guided us accordingly. She even picked me up, knowing I might be tired on a hot day. My trip started off wonderfully. The accommodation is important, but so is the first meeting. 2. The Accommodation I was surprised that it was exactly as pictured. Everything I needed was in the expected places (***, fans, etc.). Almost every detail was meticulously prepared, including a mat and chairs for a more comfortable swim. And the view from the window was simply breathtaking. The only downside was that the bed had a cooling mat, which kept it cool, but the sofa didn't, which made it a little hot. The air was nice and cool in the evenings, so I didn't have to turn on the air conditioning, so I just stayed. And the convenience store and restaurant at Ssanggyesa Temple were nearby, which was convenient. One of my bucket list items was to climb a mountain temple at dawn, and I wanted to do it with my mom, so I chose this place, and it made it all happen. In that sense, I consider this the perfect place for true rest and healing. I definitely want to visit again.

We stayed for a week starting on August 2, 2025, when it was so hot. First of all, the host was very kind and considerate from check-in to check-out, and he quickly addressed any inquiries we had. The best part was that the items in the accommodation were in excellent condition. As the host texted us, everything was prepared except for the seasoning. Since we like to travel and have traveled a lot, we didn't know this and packed a lot of our own items, but we were amazed at how well it was prepared. The interior of the accommodation was high, so it was cool and had a nice hanok feel, and there was a lot of space in the front and back of the accommodation, so it was very convenient to store our luggage. I wanted to have a barbecue, but it was too hot to bring myself to do it. Maybe it was because it was so hot, but there weren't any bugs, maybe because they were tired of the heat, but it was nice. It rained heavily, so we could only use the valley for one day, but the calm waters made it enjoyable to play in. The valley water was clean, and even showering at the hotel felt like it was being coated with something, which was really nice. It's been about 10 days since summer came and went, and my family of four is itching to go back. I'm seriously considering going back for Chuseok, lol. It's close to Kensington Resort and even closer to Hwagae Market, so we used to go out for tea and enjoy a laid-back lifestyle. I miss this place. Thank you, host. I hope we can see each other again. lol

While looking for accommodation near Jirisan Mountain, I chose this place because of its hanok-style ceiling and warm atmosphere. For a month, I enjoyed mornings filled with the sounds of water and birdsong, overlooking the mountain from the yard. It was a place that allowed me to fully experience the charm of Hadong. It was well-stocked with all the necessities. Aside from seasonings, it was fully stocked with kitchenware, cleaning supplies, and laundry supplies, so I didn't need to buy anything. You can even enjoy camping in the yard. The well-lit rooms made for a romantic atmosphere. The owner was very attentive, and the actual property looked exactly like the photos. Friends who visited were impressed by the ceiling rafters and wooden beams. Everyone was satisfied. With so many restaurants, cafes, and teahouses nearby, I highly recommend this place for both short-term trips and month-long stays.

I had a great stay for 9 nights starting from the end of July. I'm late with the review because I'm going to Jeju Island right away. In Jeju Island, all I could think about was Hadong. I don't know where to start.ㅎㅎ 1) First of all, Hadong itself is sooooo beautiful. I've always been to Gangwon-do from Seoul, so this was my first time here. I'm excited to see how many beautiful places there are in our country (I took the SRT to Hadong from Gurye Station, and wow, the view of Gurye is amazing♡) 2) The accommodation is spacious, comfortable, and pretty. The ceiling was amazing. The rafters are so cool and the ceiling is so high. I don't feel stuffy even if I roll around in the accommodation all day. Plus, just looking at the mountains from the window and the terrace is so nice and healing. It was a heat wave, so I spent time at my accommodation and went to the valley around 5 PM to play. In the morning, I often went to Tea Cafe Hadong, which is about a 5-minute walk away (highly recommended! View & interior atmosphere & price) 3) The location of the accommodation is perfect. It takes less than 40 minutes from Gurye Station (SRT). Hadong Station is similar. The area where restaurants are gathered at the entrance of Ssanggyesa Temple and Kensington Resort are 3-5 minutes on foot. Hwagae Market is 10 minutes by car. There is a delicious bakery and brunch cafe on the way to Hwagae Market, and the scenery on the way there is so pretty!! There are many restaurants near Hwagae Market. Our family's travel style is more about relaxation than sightseeing, and it was hard to look around because it was hot, so we rested well with the accommodation + cafe + delicious restaurant + valley combination. +Thank you to the very kind host:)

The one-month living that started on the day when cherry blossoms were just blooming is now coming to an end as tea leaves are picked and bracken ferns are cut and spread out in the front yard. This place seems to be the best place to enjoy nature in the forest. The fresh air, the birdsong you can hear in the morning, and the sound of the water flowing in abundance in Hwagaecheon. (It’s not because there was a lot of rain, but because Jirisan Mountain holds it and lets it flow like that.) There are many things to see nearby, including the Millennium Tea Plantation (Dahyang) Road. There are many things to see nearby, such as Ssanggyesa Temple and Hwagae Market, as well as Choi Champan’s House, Pyeongsa-ri, and Gurye Oil Market. Gwangyang, Suncheon, and Namhae are all within an hour. The house, which was remodeled while maintaining the tile-roofed form, is spacious and clean. All kinds of supplies are also perfectly equipped. Maybe because it’s not a lot of season yet, there are almost no bugs. They say they manage it through a company. I haven’t lived there for a long time (three times including here), but it’s a really nice place. I highly recommend it to anyone who can use it cleanly. After living here for a month, I've become the owner's mind. Haha

Hanok stay where you can feel the green, green Hadong up close I am very satisfied with living here for a week!! When I checked in, the host explained in detail and when I had any questions while staying, I could contact them and they answered right away so there was no inconvenience. The accommodation was neatly organized and it was as if I had moved my own home, so it had all the necessary items. The location was good, so it was good for going out sightseeing and it was also good to stop by the mart (Hanaro Mart, Lotte Mart) before entering the accommodation to do some shopping. I already miss the scenery that I can see and feel up close, such as the sounds of birds, water, wind, rain, green tea fields, and trees. I would like to stay here again if I have the chance next time.

I had a great time for a month. First of all, I liked the cleanliness of the accommodation. The interior is pretty and the necessities are well-prepared. There are two bathrooms, so there was no inconvenience in living. Personally, I liked the time spent drinking tea in the shade on the terrace while looking at the scenery. If you bring snacks, cute cats will come to the small terrace to play. Since it is next to a tourist attraction, there are many delicious restaurants nearby. And it is located in a good place with a large resort next to it. I also visited the famous Hwagae Market, and actually went to Gurye more to shop. It was nice to be able to see local events and buy local agricultural products cheaply while traveling around Hadong, Gurye, Suncheon, and Gwangyang. The host was very considerate of me. Thanks to him, I had an extra happy time~^^. It is a great accommodation that I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

It was great to be able to sleep soundly for two weeks without the air conditioner during the heat wave period, avoiding the tropical nights due to the influence of the valley and mountain breeze. It was located at the entrance of Ssanggyesa Temple, so it was convenient to use the restaurant and convenience store nearby, and the valley was close by, so it was easy to play with the child. When problems arose, the host responded actively, so I was able to stay without much inconvenience. Above all, the condition of the accommodation was very good, and parking was easy because I used the front yard of the accommodation exclusively, and in terms of location, it was located in Hwagae, which is between Gurye and Hadong, so it was easy to move around during the trip. It was a fun trip and good memories.
