The seven nights and eight days felt so fleeting, like a home away from home, that I was so comfortable that I almost cried on the way home. Jeju, Gimnyeong, and Bomdong... it was such a wonderful trip. Every year, we visit Jeju during the children's summer vacation, but this year, we promised ourselves to hike Hallasan Mountain in the winter, so we visited with our two sons. On our first day in Jeju, we were startled by the bitter wind and worried about whether we could climb Hallasan Mountain. However, the weather was beautiful on the day we climbed, making the hike effortless. Thanks to the clear weather, we were able to see Baekrokdam Lake with our own eyes. The next day, it was cloudy, windy, and cold again, but back in Bomdong, we were able to relax and soak in the warm waters of the jacuzzi. The bed was soft, and the bedding was cozy, so we slept soundly. Even my husband, who suffers from insomnia, slept soundly without any discomfort. During our seven nights and eight days, we were able to see the sunrise at Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak and both the sunrise and sunset at Ojeoyeo. There were so many places to visit nearby, including Gimnyeong Port, Segial Beach, Woljeong-ri, Conan Beach, Bukchon Port, Dongbok Breakwater, and Mokji Island, and I was always busy taking in the scenery. I visit Jeju Island every year, but the winter scenery has a different charm. Byeolbangjin is truly more charming in winter and spring than in summer. The rape blossoms were in full bloom. The Seongsan area and Sanbangsan Mountain were in full bloom, so I enjoyed seeing them. I visited Camellia and Dongbaekdongsan, and the kids, seeing the camellias in full bloom in Bomdong, said Bomdong was even prettier. I guess flower viewing was just for mom. The owner gave me some bread that I froze and microwaved on the boat back home. It was delicious, just like freshly made bread. Thank you.^^ I was disappointed that I couldn't try many of the famous restaurants in Gimnyeong. Many were closed because of the Lunar New Year holiday. Last year, I ate twice at a restaurant I'd heard about during my trip to Gimnyeong. The black pork jeyukduruchigi (spicy stir-fried pork belly) was my kids' favorite, and it was absolutely delicious. Both owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. On our last day, we were reluctant to leave our accommodations, so we took photos throughout Bomdong and concluded our trip. Gimnyeong is our family's favorite Jeju Island destination. Thank you, Bomdong, for creating unforgettable memories for our family. We'll see you again next time. ^^

I spent one night with a friend, two nights with my parents, and the rest of the time alone. Everyone was satisfied with the comfortable accommodations. Although it's a small, old house, the owners' dedication was evident. The warm sunlight during the day was wonderful, and the quiet at night allowed for a good night's sleep. While the location is a bit outside the city center, there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants within a 2-3 minute drive, making it easy to explore without leaving Gimnyeong. I was worried it might be cold in the winter, but the main building was very warm. The annex was a bit drafty, but the boiler and electric blanket made it all right. I was also grateful for the prompt resolution of the electric blanket issue. The bathroom was a bit awkward to shower due to its unique design, but it was a unique experience unique to Bomdong. I recommend showering in the annex bathroom for taller guests. + Food recommendations for future travelers who read the reviews Kimnyeong Orai (shrimp sashimi, dombae sashimi), Daebog Haejangguk (fernbrake yukgaejang), CHAT (spam and egg conch musubi), Semo (triangle rice ball), Kimnyeong Bitsori (badang set meal - tendon), Maekorom (stir-fried octopus set meal), Kimnyeong Esaen Kim Young-hoon (cafe [great for takeout and sitting by the window]), Kimnyeong Music (LP bar) And don't forget to visit nearby Segial Beach. It was a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The house was very beautiful, and I had a very comfortable stay. It was too hot to use the rooftop much, but it's a place I'd like to revisit with family or friends next time. I think it would be nice if you installed lights like lamps on the rooftop, though I'm sure you have your reasons. Haha. Except for the bathroom bathtub being a bit inconvenient, I'm very satisfied with my stay.

I had a wonderful week at this wonderful accommodation~~🫶🏻🍊🧡 First of all, I loved the Jeju-style atmosphere the most!! The warmth of a traditional hanok blended with the unique sensibility of Jeju, making my entire stay feel healing.🥹 Also, thanks to Stand By Me, I was able to watch movies, listen to music, and enjoy myself without getting bored. The kitchenware was provided, which made it super convenient for quick meals!! The accommodation was meticulously prepared, down to the smallest detail, which made my entire trip very satisfying.❤️❤️❤️ Since the accommodation is located in Gimnyeong, it was conveniently located near all the hottest restaurants, and the cafes within walking distance were all very satisfying.ㅠㅜ The owner even gave me bread from the famous nearby Gimnyeong Bakery as a gift, which was delicious. Even after our trip, the colors red, green, and black linger in my mind. A whole watermelon in the refrigerator, a testament to the owner's generosity, and Bomdong's red roof, green garden, and black basalt stone walls. We safely climbed Hallasan Mountain with the kids, which I had been worried about, thanks to the comfortable rest at Bomdong. We were also able to enjoy the waters of the nearby Gimnyeong beach. And through the Neobeunsungi April 3rd Memorial Hall, we learned about Jeju's painful memories with our kids. This was a leisurely trip, allowing us to experience everything from the underwater landscapes of Jeju to the sky above Hallasan, unlike the busy, short itinerary we'd previously seen. And right in the middle of it all was our lodging, "Bomdong."

While scouting for a place to take a sabbatical after a long day at work, I stumbled upon Bomdong Inn... The charming space and quiet, cozy village made my six days even more precious. The warm sunlight twinkled in the yard, and I lay on the rooftop deck, gazing at the stars... I recharged my batteries. 7 nights in Bomdong for my mother-in-law's 60th birthday celebration trip❤️ While searching for accommodations to stay with my mother and child, I wanted to give them a more memorable and special accommodation, so I looked for accommodations with Jeju-like sentiments I fell in love with the main red roof image once, and the green yard and stone wall atmosphere twice and three times, so I chose this place! The actual atmosphere of the accommodation was so colorful during the day and at night It was an emotional accommodation where you couldn't help but get drunk on the atmosphere❤️ ㅁ Location : About 40 minutes from Jeju Airport : I chose this location because I liked the east tourist destination and Gimnyeong Beach It was the best location to drive to Gimnyeong Beach in 5 minutes Sehwa, Woljeong-ri, Gimnyeong-ri, Pyeongdae-ri, Gujwa-eup It was the best place to drive to the famous beach and Hamdeok Beach was also 15 minutes away, so the travel distance was the best. I had a great time on the Gujwa-eup and Hamdeok gourmet tour❤️ Seongsan Sunrise Peak is also 40 minutes away, so I was able to eat at Sehwa in the middle and move, so it was geographically easy to visit. The recycling center is also close to the accommodation, which is convenient! ㅁ Accommodation facilities : I looked for a Jeju-style independent house, so the main house, annex, yard, rooftop, and garden have a sufficient house-style exterior There are 2 bathrooms, including the annex, so it was comfortable for 4 adults (+ 1 girl)! There is a simple table and chairs and a parasol in the yard, and a flat surface on the rooftop, so it is also great that you can barbecue and eat outdoors! Parking is possible right in the open space in front of the accommodation (village public)!! ㅁ Hygiene and cleanliness : The interior is clean and well-organized, and the cypress scent of the wooden furniture adds a neat feeling. The furniture cabinets are well-organized with hygiene products. The week I spent in Jeju Island was like a dream. Why was it so fun to live in Bomdong? At first, I thought it was inconvenient to go back and forth between the main building and the annex, but it became fun as if I was on an outing while exploring the house without doing anything. The kids played in the yard every day, and we also visited the Bricks cat cafe next door. Every morning, we went to Kimnyeong Bakery and had freshly baked salt bread, sausage bread, and morning coffee. And every night, we watched a movie to heal ourselves.~^^ The kids were so happy at Bomdong that they were sad and regretful when we left. I was always touched by the humane sense and consideration of the owner of Bomdong! Thank you! I want to visit again with my family next time~! I love the sea of Gimnyeong so much, it's such a charming town!! I want to give it the highest score for country life, Jeju-ness, and cuteness and consideration!!!!
